Fine quality Edwardian satinwood Carlton House desk by ‘Maple & Co’. The upper section with small drawers and cupboards with inlaid oval panels. Sliding tooled leather writing surface over one long and three short drawers, raised on square tapered legs capped with brass castors.

Maple & Company was once a landmark site in London and one of the most prestigious high end furniture retailers and manufacturers in the world. Their high point was in the latter part of the Victorian and Edwardian periods.
